Hunter Community Housing welcomes $2 billion investment in social housing

Hunter Community Housing welcomes the recent announcement by the Federal Government to invest an additional $2 billion in social housing.

The Social Housing Accelerator Fund will see $2 billion divided between the states and territories on a per capita basis. This is in addition to the previously announced $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund.

This is a most welcome and timely announcement – Everybody’s Home notes a shortfall of 640,000 homes, there is no time to waste as we seek to help more people in our local community.
